HSCI reports highest ever festive period sales in Sep-Oct 2010

New Delhi, November 1, 2010: Honda Siel Cars India Ltd. (HSCI) , leading manufacturer of premium cars in India, reported robust sales in the festive months of September-October 2010. The company has sold 13,003 units in this period against 12,703 units sold during the corresponding period in 2009.

Keeping in mind the surge in demand during the festive season, HSCI kick-started the `Great Honda Fest' in September this year which catapulted sales into highest ever. HSCI launched special editions of all the models along with special accessory kits.

Mr. Tatsuya Natsume, Director Marketing, Honda Siel Cars India Ltd., said “We are happy with our sales performance for the month of October. Our annual event ‘The Great Honda Fest’ coupled with the festive season demand helped us achieve retail sales of more than 7,000 in October alone. We expect a further increase in sales in the coming days.”

The company recorded sales of 35,460 units during April'10- Oct'10 as against 34,439 units during the same period last year recording an increase of 3% in sales.

HSCI sold 5,275 units during the month of October'10 as against 6,909 units sold during the corresponding month last year.
