HSCI completes 400 days with zero reportable accidents.

New Delhi, 1st April 2007: Honda Siel Cars India Ltd, leading manufacturer of Premium Cars in India has achieved yet another milestone of completing 400 days of 'Zero Reportable Accident' with more than 'six million safe man-hours of work'.
Continuous activities in the direction of improvements in work environment, prediction and prevention of potential risks, monitoring of even minor injuries and behavioral changes have resulted in zero accident (> 6 Million safe working hours). The company also initiated various training related activities like providing safety induction training to all new joinees, providing workers 100% fire safety training & training for disaster management plan to achieve this milestone.
Speaking on this historic occasion, Mr M Takedagawa, President & CEO, HSCI said "Undoubtedly, this benchmark of achieving more than six million safe man-hours of work itself enunciates the concern that company has towards safety of its associates (workers). We have been able to achieve this milestone by building a culture of safe work environment amongst all employees. Going forward, we hope to better this achievement and create higher benchmarks for ourselves and the industry."
As a process, safety approvals are taken from the safety team at HSCI for everything before accepting it, be it a fire fighting plan of a new building/area or introduction of new chemicals. The on site contractors/contract workers, engaged in civil activities, are also issued safety guidelines to minimize any injury or accidents.
In HSCI's history, this is for the first time, when not even a single worker was prevented from working for a period of Forty-eight hours or more due to some injury.
