All-new Honda Accord posts impressive numbers in May '08

New Delhi, June 02: The all-new, eighth-generation Honda Accord has proved to be an instant success in India, with Honda Siel Cars India (HSCI) selling 543 units of the car within two weeks of its launch in India.

HSCI's new flagship model, which is bigger and more powerful than the previous generation, achieved more than 100% growth in the month of May 2008 over May 2007, when it sold 263 units.

Overall, HSCI recorded a growth of 0.2% in the period January - May 2008 over the same period last year.

HSCI sold 27,780 units in the period Jan - May 2008 as against 27,723 units in the corresponding period last year.

The company sold 3,944 units in May 2008 as against 4,811 units sold in May 2007

Model wise break-up for: City ZX: 2375; Civic: 753; CRV: 273; Accord: 543
