Honda came up with the world's first fuel cell passenger car in December 2002. Using electricity generated by a chemical reaction between hydrogen and oxygen as fuel, the vehicle emits only water as exhaust.
Honda is already on the verge of large-scale commercialization of fuel cell vehicles.
Promotion of recycling
Honda's policy of product recycling starts right at the development stage and continues up to the disposal stage. It is already recycling plastic from vehicle to vehicle, recovering and reusing parts.
Green factory initiatives
Honda is continuously working to reduce the CO2 level. The company is also planting trees in and around its premises to check pollution in order to work in harmony with nature.
