Air filter element is the source for providing clean air to the engine combustion area. In air filter elements, the paper used is the key to air filtration. In non-genuine air filter elements the paper is either not porous enough, which hampers flow of air, or is too porous, enabling foreign particles to enter the engine combustion area. These particles can injure the engine, resulting in deteriorating performance and increased wear and tear.

Honda's genuine air filter can filter super fine dust particles, and is 0.5% more effective than non-genuine filters. This seemingly slight difference shuts out the soot contained in diesel vehicle emissions and other such super fine contaminants.
